Weather

Mild temperatures and four distinct seasons make Greensboro an ideal place to take advantage of all that the region has to offer. With a mountain barrier situated southwest of Greensboro, much of winter's rainfall and temperatures are tempered. The barrier helps maintain a warmer temperature within the Greensboro area that makes zero degree weather a rarity. Spring and summer are lush and green, with mostly sunny days dotted by the occasional thunderstorm. Fall is mild and brings the changing colors of the season along with it. Most newcomers to Greensboro agree that the weather can't be beaten. For more information about Greensboro's climate/weather contact Greensboro Economic Development Alliance.

Because of its mountain barrier southwest of Greensboro, many of the winter’s rainfall and temperatures are tempered. It is that same barrier that raises the temperature within the Greensboro area leaving it almost unheard of zero degree weather.

Beautiful summers bring occasional thunderstorms and fall shares the extraordinary colors of the trees throughout the rise and fall of the mountains. Many Greensboro residents agree that the weather is amazing!
