Financial Services Employers
The concentration of financial services companies – including
data centers, customer service centers, and banking – continues
to grow. Citigroup chose Guilford County for a new 175,000-square-foot
Citi Cards call center facility – adding 1,000 new employees over
the past two years. In 2007, two North Carolina banks, FNB Southeast
and Lexington State Bank merged and chose Greensboro for their
corporate headquarters.
Greensboro is a hub for today’s thriving financial services economy.
Banks, insurance companies and data centers appreciate the region’s
strong telecommunications infrastructure, power reliability, and convenient
transportation network. Financial services companies are some of the
largest employers in the area demonstrating the suitability of our
labor force for work in data centers, service centers, insurance processing
