Six of the top 50 companies in the Fortune 500 have major operations in Greensboro – Citigroup, Procter & Gamble, UPS, AIG, AT&T and UnitedHealth Group. In addition, four of the top twenty companies on Fortune’s Most Admired Companies List have major operations in Greensboro – UPS, FedEx, Procter & Gamble, and American Express.

Greensboro is proud to be the corporate headquarters of VF Corporation, a Fortune 500 company that is a leader in branded lifestyle apparel including jeanswear, outdoor products, image apparel and sportswear. RFMD, also headquartered here, is the nation’s largest manufacturer of amplifier chips and integrated circuits for the wireless communications industry. Employing almost 1,900 people, RFMD is a high-tech company making a big impact on our community.

Early in 2007, Honda Aircraft Company selected Greensboro as its world headquarters and manufacturing location for the innovative HondaJet. Another significant aviation headquarters in Greensboro is TIMCO Aviation Services, the nation’s largest independent third-party maintenance, repair and overhaul provider.

UPS also has a large footprint in Greensboro and offers greater just-in-time delivery benefits to companies, sorting over 44,000 packages per hour and employing over 2,000 people. Citigroup built a new 175,000-square-foot Citi Cards call center facility here, adding 1,000 new employees over the past few years.
