North Carolina's Ports in Wilmington and Morehead City, plus inland terminals in Greensboro and Charlotte, link the State’s businesses to world markets from the middle of the North and South Atlantic shipping lanes.   The deepwater ports are within 700 miles of more than 170 million American and Canadian consumers and 70% of the U.S. industrial base.
